Not Exactly how I pictured Berlin

The Charlottenburg Palace, in Charlottenburg, which before unification was the affluent part of West Berlin. Except for things like this it reminds me of Durham. The interior is overwrought Baroque, but with very fine Chinese porcelain. The clipped bay trees in painted whiskey barrels are very cool.

  1. How did you picture Berlin?

If you would like bay trees, I have numerous rogue plants cropping up. I'd be happy to give you some.

And Overwrought Baroque avec Chinese Porcelain -
    SNAP! SNAP!!

  2. Grungy. High rise construction all over the place. BTW I've been nursing a 15 yo bay tree that may have been shocked into oblivion. I'll take you up on it.

BTW there's a great room (not too big) with 2000 pieces of porcelain, including Chinese men wearing basins as hats...
